This was a simple activity I came up with to help the kids practice their vowels. I cut five triangles out of colored cardstock and used a hole punch to make two holes in the top of each. I found a cute scrap of ribbon to hang them up with.

My oldest helped write the vowels on each flag.

Meanwhile, little brother took care of stringing the flags onto the ribbon.

To make threading the ribbon through the holes easier, I taped the ribbon to a little wooden stick that came with one of those rainbow scratch off pads.

The finished banner! It might not be fancy, but they made it themselves and they were proud of it. Sometimes a simple project is the best one.
